FICOI is a fellowship credential awarded by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, an organization focused on dental implantology.

To earn Fellowship, dentists must submit clinical records documenting successful implant cases, complete at least 100 hours of implant education within the preceding five years, and meet ICOI’s additional application requirements. Fellows also have ongoing education and meeting requirements to maintain their status.

What this means for you: Dr. Xu’s FICOI reflects her additional training and documented experience in implant dentistry. Her approach considers more than replacing a missing tooth—it includes the surrounding bone and gums, the final restoration, and ongoing maintenance.
