Dr. Lily (Xiaoqian) Xu is a general dentist with a strong focus on implant dentistry, oral surgery, and comprehensive restorative care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
Driven by an early passion for implant surgery, Dr. Xu pursued extensive continuing education soon after graduation. She completed Dr. Rick Ferguson’s Implant Educators Continuum, later joined his practice as an associate, and had the opportunity to work alongside him before ultimately taking over the practice. In doing so, she carries forward a 30-year legacy of clinical experience, trusted patient relationships, and surgical excellence, while continuing to advance the practice with modern digital dentistry and implant techniques.
Dr. Xu is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a distinction earned through extensive advanced education beyond standard licensing requirements and a comprehensive examination. She is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI), recognizing advanced education and experience in implant dentistry.
Her commitment to learning has taken her from student to educator. Dr. Xu now serves as a clinical instructor with Implant Educators, helping other dentists gain hands-on experience in implant and digital dentistry.
For Dr. Xu, these credentials represent more than titles. They reflect hundreds of hours of continued training and a commitment to providing thoughtful, personalized care focused on long-term health, function, and confidence.
Dr. Rick Ferguson, DMD, DABOI, DICOI
Clinic Consultant
Dr. Rick Ferguson is a highly respected implant dentist, educator, and leader in digital dentistry and 3D printing. He has trained dentists nationally and internationally in implant surgery, restorative dentistry, and advanced digital workflows.
As the former owner of the practice and a longtime mentor to Dr. Xu, Dr. Ferguson played an important role in the development of the practice’s implant and surgical foundation. He continues to provide clinical consultation, mentorship, and support, helping us carry forward more than 30 years of experience while continuing to advance with modern techniques and technology.
